Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Sam Ulrich as this week’s athlete of the week. Sam posted an early season record time in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.02 and ran a 51 flat in his portion of the 4X400 Relay to help propel the Vikings to a first-place finish in the event and the Meet.
Honorable mention goes to Freshman Will Johnson who took a first-place finish in the Triple Jump with a personal record of 40’6” and scoring a personal record 11’ in the pole vault.
Viking Baseball/Softball
The Siuslaw Viking baseball team will be on the field today against Elmira. The game will begin at 4:30 with a 4:15 pregame on KCST. Viking softball will also play today at 4:30.
Viking golf will travel to McNary golf course for competition today. There is also a Sky-Em JV Track event today at Cottage Grove.
Ducks/Beavers
The Oregon Ducks face San Francisco today in Eugene for College baseball and the Oregon State Beavers will face Gonzaga today ay home after a rainout yesterday.
