Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate freshman Viking baseball player Jordan Pitcher as this week’s Athlete of the Week. In Friday’s doubleheader Jordan was 4 for 7 with 4 runs and 3 RBI’s a double and three stolen bases.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to senior Kyle Hughes who inched closer to the 15 foot mark in the Pole Vault hitting new heights with a Personal Record 14’11” in Friday’s Intra-Squad competition at Hans Pettersen Field.
Viking Baseball
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the field this evening at Taft for a non-league game. The game will begin at 3pm. There will not be a radio broadcast of this game.
Elmira/Mapleton Softball
Elmira/Mapleton softball will be at Harrisburg tomorrow for a game beginning at 4:30.
Siuslaw Golf – 5 in a Row
Siuslaw golf was in Lincoln City yesterday, Ryan Klampe led all golfers with an 82 followed by Will Johnson in second place with an 84. Vikings posted their 5th straight win.
