After several rain delays that began on Saturday the Oregon State Beavers were able to get back on the mound for an unscheduled double header on Sunday. The first game against LSU also had to be postponed due to inclement weather. And after a several hour delay the Beavers were defeated by LSU 6-5. The two teams were knotted up at 5 a piece until a solo homer in the bottom of the 8th inning by LSU outfielder Braydon Jobert put the Tigers on top. In the late evening game the Beaver met Sam Houston for the Second time. The Bearcats struck first with a run in the bottom of the first inning but the Beavers answered with three in the fourth and scoring would end for both teams there final 3-1 Beavers. That set up a rematch with LSU today beginning at 11 am with a 10:30 pregame on KCFM. If the Beavers win there would be a second game this evening at 5pm.
The Oregon Ducks keep their win streak in tact with a 3-0 showing in Nashville. The Ducks finished of the Regional action with an 11-2 rout of Xavier after disposing of #3 Vanderbilt on Saturday 8-7. The Ducks now await the scheduling of the next round of the Super Regionals that begin this weekend.
