Nike Outdoor Nationals
Today at the Nike Outdoor Nationals at heyward field recent Siuslaw Graduate Sam Ulrich will compete in the 2k Steeplechase. The race includes a series of hurdles and often a water obstacle. On June 3rd at the El Jefe tournament Ulrich ran the Steeplechase with a personal record time of 6:26.45.
Tomorrow the team of Hunter Petterson, Jacob Blankenship, Raymundo Brito-Xilot and Sam Ulrich will compete in the 4X400 relay. The team is the current state champion among 3A schools in Oregon.
Cowley Honored
Oregon Duck Shortstop Drew Cowley received his second All-America honor yesterday. Cowley set the single season career RBI record, along with multiple RBI games and multiple hit games. He also tied the school record for hits. Cowley is also a semi-finalist for the Brooks Wallace award which honors the top Shortstop in the nation.
