Schute: U.S. Open
Former Siuslaw golfer Jesse Schute failed to make the cut at this weekend’s US Open. Schulte was 7 over par and thus did not qualify for the final two rounds of the tournament. the eventual winner would be an American. Wyndham Clark from Denver, Colorado finished the tournament at 10 under.
Nike Outdoor Nationals
The Siuslaw 4X400 relay team running under the Waconda moniker finished 12th among teams in this past weekend’s Nike Outdoor Nationals. Raymundo Brito-Xilot, Sam Ulrich, Jacob Blankenship and Hunter Petterson turned is a time of 3:28.49.
Reser Stadium Grand Opening
The Oregon State Beavers have announced that the September football game against UC Davis will be the date for the Grand Opening of the new Reser Stadium. That game will be on the 9th. Over the past two seasons the Beavers have made two bowl appearances and are 11-1 at home.
