Ems Fall to Indians in Extra Innings
The Eugene Emeralds finished up their 6 game series with Spokane last night at PK Park. The Ems dropped the final two games of the series after a Friday night 12-2 win. On Saturday the Indians bested the Ems 8-4 and last night the two teams headed into extra innings. The game was knotted at 3 a piece. Both teams scored in the 10th inning and the Indians scored twice in the 11th to make it a 6-4 game. In the bottom of the 11th the Ems scored one run on a sacrifice fly, but the final two outs came with the next two batters. The Ems begin a 6 game series against the Tri-City Dust Devils tomorrow on the road.
Hall of Fame
Siuslaw Athletic Director Chris Johnson says they are gearing up for a night of celebration. Planning for the 2023 Hall of Fame induction is underway. Johnson says more details will be forthcoming. The event will be held at the Florence Events Center on August the 11th and cost is just $20.
