Viking Basketball

The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the court tomorrow to face Harrisburg from Glen Butler Court.  The 9-4 boys will be up first with a 6pm tip off and a 5:45 pregame on KCST.  The Girls will follow.

Mapleton Basketball

The Mapleton Sailors Boys are on top of the Mountain West League with a commanding lead at 10-2. They travel to Alsea tomorrow evening for a 7pm tip off.  The Sailor Girls are up first at 5:30.

Viking Wrestling

Macali Lade continues her domination of the 115 pound weight class in wrestling.  Winning the Sutherlin Girls Wrestling invitational on Saturday.  Joining her on the winner’s platform was Abby Riggs in the 120 pound class and Danin Lacouture in the 140 weight class. Jane Lacouture finished 4th in the 170 pound class.  The Siuslaw Boys Wrestled at the King of the Hill tournament in Pleasant Hill on Saturday.  Leo Robertson took the top spot in the 144 pound weight class.  Derrick Vanduch finished in 4th place in the 150 weight class.  Charles Nelson also finished 4th in the 157 class. Jacob Mann took first in the 190 pound class and Dayne Muller rounded out the wins taking first place in the 215 pound class.

College Hoops

The Oregon Ducks defeated the Washington State Cougars on Saturday 89-84 and the Oregon State Beavers were defeated by the Washington Huskies 79-72.  The Oregon State women lost their undefeated status with a loss on Friday to USC 56-54 and then lost again last night to UCLA 65-54. The Lady Ducks suffered the same outcome, losing on Friday to UCLA 75-49 and USC last night 68-54.
