Athlete of the Week

The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Mapleton Basketball player Keevyn Walker as this week’s Athlete of the Week.  Keevyn led the Sailors in scoring against the Eddyville Eagles last week with 18 points. And scored 23 against the McKenzie Eagles in the first game of the week.  He set the tone as a leader on the team during their 10 game win streak.

Honorable Mention

Honorable Mention goes to senior wrestler Derrick Vanduch who is currently on a 13 match winning streak and was a senior star at this past week’s Senior Duals.

Siuslaw Baskeball

Tonight Coast Radio will cover the Viking Girls and Boys basketball games as they travel to Harrisburg.  The girls are up first at 6 pm with a 5:45 pregame followed by the boys at 7:30.
