Siuslaw Viking Baseball chocked up another short game win last night as they defeated the Creswell Bulldogs 14-4.  The Vikings allowed two runs in the first inning, but then added two of their own in the bottom of the inning.  Trailing 3-4 in the bottom of the 5th the Vikings added 11 runs before a two out base hit by Joel Sissel. Wayne Sharpe with the call.

“and there’s a ball hit to right field that’s gonna drop it.  That’s a base hit and one runs gonna score, game it over.:

That gave the Vikings a ten run lead which according to OSAA rules ends the game.

Viking Softball also faced Creswell last night and the Bulldogs out scored the Vikings 19-4 in that matchup.

Beaver Baseball

The OSU Beavers defeated Portland in baseball last night 14-3 and ready themselves for Washington for a three game series beginning on Friday. The Oregon Ducks will host Arizona on Friday.

Women’s March Madness

The OSU Women will host the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Corvallis. The Beavers are the Number 3 seed and will face Eastern Washington on Friday the winner of that game will face the winner of the Nebraska-Texas A&M game.

Track and Field

The Vikings will host the Siuslaw Icebreaker in Track and Field on Thursday beginning at 3pm. Mapleton Track and Field also begins tomorrow at home.
