Hall of Fame Inductees
Over the past several days Siuslaw athletic director Chris Johnson has posted more inductees into the Siuslaw High School Hall of Fame. Trevor May, Alaura Little and Guy Mamac were the additions to the list. May was a champion hurdler in 2006 winning the 110 meter hurdles. May also excelled in Basketball and Football. Little was a standout in Volleyball, basketball and track. She recalled the 2005 comeback in volleyball against South Umpqua when the Vikings were down 14-9 and mounted a comeback that stunned the rowdy home crowd. Mamac had a tumultuous rise to fame. He initially quit the 1996 football team after he blocked a Newport player rendering him unconscious. But was talked back on to the team. In 1998 he amassed 1,439 yards in rushing and scored 27 touchdowns averaging 8.5 yards per carry. Mamac was also a standout player in Baseball and wrestled two years for Siuslaw.
