Bazzana Misses Out on Golden Spikes
The University of Georgia’s Charlie Condon beat our OSU’s Travis Bazzana and Arkansas’ Hagen Smith for the 2024 Golden Spikes award. Condon hit a record 36 home runs and was named SEC player of the year. Bazzana was named Pac-12 Player of the year. Bazzana was recognized on Friday as a First-Team All-American by Baseball America.
Ems Start Second Half 0-3
The Spokane Indians closed out their 7 game series with the Eugene Emeralds last night with 2 consecutive shutouts. After a 7-nothing rout on Saturday the Indians came back last night with a 3-zip win. The Ems are currently in fifth place at the start of the second half of the season and are 3 games out of first place.
