The Boise Hawks took two of three games over the Eugene Emeralds over the weekend. Friday the Ems took an early lead on an inside-the-park grand slam off the bat of Kyle Gaedele, but the Hawks came from behind for a 7-5 win. Saturday, Oliver Zapata hit a tie-breaking three-run homer in the sixth inning, helping the Hawks to an eventual 15-9 win. Yesterday the Eugene bats were unleased as they put up 14 hits… three of them home runs….. in a 14-10 win. The Emeralds are back home at PK Park this evening where they’ll take on the division leading Everett Aqua Sox.
