Emeralds take first playoff game

The Eugene Emeralds took an early advantage in the West Divisional playoff of the Northwest League last night with an 8-3 win over the Vancouver Canadians.  Jace Peterson nearly hit for the cycle… opening with a home run, then adding a double and a triple to lead the way.  Game two of the best-of-three series is tonight at PK Park in Eugene.
