Nobody was injured when a pickup rolled backwards into the Siuslaw River Saturday afternoon. The truck’s owner was trying to launch a boat at a ramp near Cushman around three pm. He got out to push the boat off the trailer and the truck and trailer rolled into the water, completely submerging the vehicle.
Oregon State Trooper Darrell Sheets did not release the name of the truck’s owner. Sheets said the U.S. Coast Guard stood by while a local tow company helped pull the truck and trailer out the water without incident.
