Viking Football hit the number one spot in both statewide rankings this week, garnering all first place votes in the AP writers’ poll and continuing at the top of the OSAA Power Rankings. In the AP poll, the Vikings moved up from number two, a spot they’ve held for several weeks. They displaced the Central Panthers who fell to fifth after losing last week to Newport. The new number two is La Salle Prep, at three is Elmira and North Bend is number four. In the Power Rankings Siuslaw continues at number one followed, in order, by La Salle, Elmira, Central and Newport.
Siuslaw will host Hidden Valley tomorrow night at Hans Peterson Field, the winner advances to the OSAA playoffs.
Reserved seating for current ticket holders go on sale at the high school at two o’clock today… to all comers at three. Adult tickets are $6, students are $4.
