Siuslaw Cross Country standout Matthew Campbell is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week.  The junior captured 2nd place individually in the OSAA 4A State Championships with a time of 15:54, leading the Vikings to a state championship team trophy, the third overall for the boys’ program and the first since 2004.

Honorable Mention is given to Campbell’s te4ammate, Mitchell Butler who finished third individually, nine seconds behind the leader and three seconds behind Campbell.
