PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Brock Motum scored a career-high 27 points
to lead Washington State to a 93-55 victory against Santa Clara
yesterday. Charlie Enquist had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the
Cougars. Kevin Foster scored 16 points, Niyi Harrison 14 and Evan
Roquefort 12 for the Broncos. Washington State dominated inside,
posting a 33-25 rebounding advantage and outscoring Santa Clara
44-22 in the paint.

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) – Isiah Umipig had 25 points as all five
Cal State Fullerton starters scored in double figures in a 91-76
victory against Eastern Washington yesterday. Umipig made six
3-pointers for the Titans. Omondi Amoke and Orane Chin had 19
points each, Kwame Vaughn 12 and D.J. Seeley 10. Collin Chiverton
scored 26 points and Cliff Colimon 23 for the Eagles. Amoke had 12
rebounds.

SEATTLE (AP) – Stephen Madison had 17 points and seven rebounds
to lead a balanced Idaho effort Sunday in a 73-62 win over Seattle.
Djim Bandoumel scored 13 points for the Vandals and Matt Borton
added 11 points. Sterling Carter led the Redhawks with 19 points
and Aaron Broussard scored 15. Seattle has lost three in a row.
Idaho blitzed Seattle to start the second half, going on a 17-2 run
and boost its lead to 60-39 with 11:11 remaining.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Rosie Tarnowski scored 14 points as
Washington State defeated UC Riverside 74-35 yesterday. The Cougars
only led 23-15 at halftime after shooting 23 percent from the
field. Riverside pulled within 28-21 when Jazzmin Lewis hit a
3-pointer a little over a minute into the second half, but the
Cougars scored the next 23 points to go ahead 51-21. Ireti Amojo
added 12 points for Washington State and Hana Potter had 10.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Portland Trail Blazers have signed
16-yard NBA veteran center Kurt Thomas. Terms of the deal were not
announced. At 39, Thomas is the NBA’s oldest active player. He
played last season with Chicago, averaging 4.1 points, 5.8 rebounds
and 1.1 assists in 52 games, including 37 starts. For his career,
Thomas has averaged 8.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists.
