Here is the latest Oregon news from The Associated Press
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Hundreds of out-of-staters have obtained
Oregon medical marijuana cards. The Oregonian says nearly 600
non-residents have traveled to Oregon since June 2010, when the
state began issuing the cards to out-of-staters. In that same
period, 72,000 cards were issued to Oregonians. Some non-resident
users of medical marijuana hope the cards provide some legal
protection if they’re arrested in a tate where medical marijuana is
illegal.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The AAA auto club reports the average
price of a gallon of gasoline in Oregon is $3.66. That’s up 14
cents in a week, 19 cents in a month, and 32 cents in a year. It’s
9 cents higher than the national average. Some metro prices from
today’s survey: Portland $3.67, Salem $3.67, Eugene-Springfield
$3.71, and Medford Ashland $3.73.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities have identified a man shot and
killed outside a Portland bowling alley as a bouncer there. The
Oregonian says 30-year-old Robert Green died of a gunshot wound
near the doorway of Grand Central Restaurant and Bowling Lounge
early yesterday. No arrests were immediately made.

MEDVORD, Ore. (AP) – Police say a 14-year-old Medford girl is
dead after mixing helium gas and alcohol at a home. KTVL-TV says
police responded to a 911 call late Saturday night from a home
where the caller said a teenage girl was not breathing and
unconscious after drinking alcohol and inhaling helium. Officers
found Ashley Long, who was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police
say 21-year-old Katherine McAloon was arrested and faces charges of
furnishing alcohol to a minor and delivering marijuana to a minor.
