CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Corvallis police say a 20-year-old Oregon State University student was found dead in her sorority house. Police and medics responded yesterday afternoon to the Alpha Chi Omega sorority house and found the body of Lauren Snow. Police believe she died sometime over the weekend. The Oregon state medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death, but officials say there’s no sign of criminal activity.

ELGIN, Ore. (AP) – The small northeastern Oregon town of Elgin is giving up on efforts to bring back its police department.
