Alex Snow was four-for-four at the plate with a double, two stolen bases and one RBI as the Three Rivers Sandblasters posted 14 hits in all on the way to a 13-8 win over the Canyon Crushers last night in Florence. Snow also pitched six innings, giving up just one earned run for the win on the mound. Coach Dave Deutchman didn’t give specifics but said while the ‘blasters struggled on defense at times, they were also timely with their hitting.
The Sandblasters and the Crushers meet again today at noon for a seven-inning non-league matchup in Florence.
Emeralds lose game, take series
The Yakima Bears put up ten hits and took advantage of five Eugene errors on the way to a 10-1 win over the Emeralds last night at PK Park. Eugene did manage to win the five-game series 3-2. They head out today on a two week road trip… facing the Boise Hawks this evening for the first of five.
