It was a battle into the late innings last night in Florence with the Sandblasters coming out on top of the Corvallis. Jake Thompson took the win in relief for the 9 / 7 victory.
Eugene Emeralds Baseball:
The road weary Em’s fell last night in Everett to the Aquasox in a 10 to 1 final. The loss moves the Emeralds to 6 and 6 on the road, but they remain above 500 at 9 and 8 on the season. With the US Olympic Track and Field Trials over, the Emeralds can now return home. It’s game three tonight in Everett, then the series moves south for Independence Day and the first of the final three games of the series at PK Park in Eugene.
