The Three Rivers Sandblasters fell to the Springfield Titans 8-1 yesterday afternoon to close out the Papa’s Pizza Invitational… before that, Friday, the Sandblasters split a pair, downing the Canyon Crushers of Salem 20-5 before falling to the Eugene Challengers 7-nothing. Saturday, they downed the red squad from Salt Lake City, 3-2.
Three Rivers will be back in league action this afternoon at home against the Withnell Dodgers at two pm… both games will air on Coast Radio Sports beginning at 1:45.
The Eugene Emeralds wrapped up their series against the Everett Aqua Sox with a 4-2 loss at PK Park Friday evening. That meant a 3-3 split in the six game series. Saturday, they opened a new series against Salem-Keizer with a 3-1 win, before falling yesterday 17-2. The two teams meet again this evening in Eugene… they’ll take the all-star break tomorrow, then hit the road Wednesday for Spokane.
