WESTON, Ore. (AP) – More than 300 Weston water customers are still without drinkable water after a mudslide early Saturday took out a section of the city water main. Police say the city expects a construction company to replace the pipe today. City officials say the slide was caused by a leaking 14-inch pipe that services Smith Frozen Foods.

WOODBURN, Ore. (AP) – Oregon State Police say the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn was locked down last night after police received a false report of an armed suspect inside the building. The Statesman-Journal reports that an unidentified youth made the call. The Oregon Youth Authority says the facility remained in lockdown as a security precaution.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A 34-year-old Army recruiter has pleaded guilty to having sex with a 17-year-old girl at a recruiting office in Springfield. Staff Sgt. Russell Miller was ordered to two years of probation, register as a sex offender and expects to receive a “less-than-honorable discharge” from the service. Prosecutors say the girl told police she willingly had sex with him but state law says anyone under 18 is not capable of consenting to sex.

ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) – A 16-year-old Bend girl has drowned in a rafting accident on North Umpqua River. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says Nichole Pomeroy became trapped in debris underwater after a raft carrying seven people capsized. Authorities say Pomeroy’s life jacket apparently came off in the water.
