XC Looks good in Far West Preview
On the cross country course yesterday… if it was the Far West Preview, then it’s shaping up to be a very fine season indeed for the Siuslaw Vikings. The boys placed five of the top six runners across the line for a near perfect 17 points to capture the team title. Matthew Campbell was first in 16:33 followed by Hayden Schaffner and Mack Marbas only 3-tenths of a second apart in 2nd and 3rd. Mitchell Butler was fifth and Seth Campbell was sixth. Also in the top-ten was sixth man Brian Schofield in eighth.
For the girls, they finished three points behind Marshfield, one behind Bandon, with 66 points in third place but Katy Potter was the individual winner in 19-minutes. Courtney King was sixth and Katy Wells was tenth.
