Lona Dengler had 15 kills; Adrianna Roberts had seven kills and two stuff blocks and the Siuslaw Vikings covered the North Bend Bulldogs in four games to remain undefeated in Far West Volleyball last night. South Umpqua beat Brookings-Harbor in four and Sutherlin fell to Douglas in five games.
In Oakridge, the Mapleton Sailors downed the Warriors in four games for a non-league win; and in Glide, the number two ranked Reedsport Braves beat the Wildcats in four.
Vikings top 4A Rankings
The AP Prep football poll for this week is out and the unanimous number one selection is Siuslaw. The Vikings are the only undefeated team in the 4A ranks. They moved into the number one slot ahead of Gladstone… they’re now tied at second with La Salle. Baker is number four followed by Klamath Union, Philomath, Cascade and Cottage Grove. North Bend moves into the top ten at number nine; North Valley and Scappoose are tied at tenth.
