Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
Boys basketball… the Siuslaw Vikings cut an 18 point third quarter deficit to five, but fell short against the Cascade Cougars last night, 71 – 66 at the Junction City Invitational. Three Vikings scored in double figures; Jake Thompson led with 20 points followed by Samuel Johnson with 14 and J.B. Dodson with ten. They’ll face Junction City at five this evening, then take on either Stayton or Ontario tomorrow afternoon in Cottage Grove.
For the girls, they picked up their first win of the season, 43 – 39 over the Stayton Eagles. They’ll face Junction City this evening at 6:30. They will close out the tournament tomorrow evening in Junction City.
Viking wrestlers are on the mat today and tomorrow for the Grants Pass Invitational.
