Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
Mapleton basketball standout Isaiah Holman-Gross is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The senior guard pumped in 14 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter last week to help lift the Sailors to a come-back win over Lowell. Honorable Mention goes to Brian Schofield… the Viking Harrier signed a national letter of intent to run for Lane Community College and was the number four bowler on the district all-star team.
The Siuslaw wrestling squad went 22-and-17 overall to capture ninth place out of 22 teams at Saturday’s Sutherlin Invitational. Luke Carroll won the 145 pound championship. Isaiah Burkhalter tied for third at 113 pounds… Turner Wykoff tied for third at 182.
On the schedule today… The number one ranked Sutherlin Lady Bulldogs will be in Florence this evening where they’ll take on the Siuslaw Vikings in Far West League basketball. Airtime on Coast Radio Sports is at 5:45… the girls game tips off at six… the boys immediately following.
Reedsport is at Coquille and Mapleton is at Crow.
