The Three Rivers Sandblasters, after being stymied by a no-show opponent Wednesday, were stymied once again yesterday at the Papa’s Pizza Invitational in Eugene. Three Rivers went hitless in a 7-nothing shutout loss to Mound Time of Portland. They’re scheduled for two games today against Alpenrose Dairy and the East County Knights… both from the Portland Area. They’ll face tournament host Eugene Challengers tomorrow evening.
Northwest League
The Eugene Emeralds squandered an early game three-run lead and fell to the Indians 8-3 last night in Spokane. The Ems will be in eastern Washington through Monday before returning to PK Park in Eugene.
