Local Sports – Em’s Fall Again

Mid game rally wasn’t enough as the Emeralds fell last night in Salem Keizer to the Volcanos 4 / 3.   The loss is the Em’s fourth straight; the Emeralds head north tonight for the first of five games against the Canadians in Vancouver, British Columbia.  Meanwhile, last night’s victory secures a Northwest League playoff berth for the Volcanos as they claim the season’s first half title, taking the Vols to the playoffs for the first time since 2009.
