EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – A Eugene police officer who worked nearly a decade as a school resource officer has pleaded guilty to sexual harassment and also admitted there was evidence to convict him of misdemeanor sexual abuse. Stefan Zeltvay was sentenced to 4½ months in custody, which he will serve at home with electronic monitoring. The Register-Guard reports Zeltvay harassed female co-workers and other adults.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – A man whose face appeared on billboards in the Salem Police Department’s 10 Most Wanted List has been arraigned in Marion County Court. Ricky Scott Exe Jr. is facing charges of burglary, bank robbery, carjacking and possessing cocaine and heroin. He was arrested Friday in Portland.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Trained volunteers wearing orange vests plan to begin patrolling Portland’s Vista Bridge this evening to prevent more people from committing suicide. The group Friends of Vista Bridge told KOIN volunteers will be on the so-called suicide bridge until mid-August when the city plans to install temporary fencing to prevent jumping. There have already been four suicides this year on the bridge.

WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) – Recently retired Bonneville Power Administration chief Steve Wright is being hired to run the Chelan County Public Utility District in Wenatchee at an annual salary of $295,000. The Wenatchee World reports commissioners offered the position of general manager to Wright yesterday and he confirmed by phone he’d take the job. He earned about $180,000 a year with Portland-based BPA.
