One match on the volleyball court last night… Reedsport downed Glide 3-nothing in a non-league contest.
The Siuslaw Vikings are set for the “Play-In” round of the OSAA playoffs. That match is tentatively set for 3:00 Saturday afternoon at Siuslaw High School against an opponent yet to be determined.
The Mapleton Sailors have to win just one of two matches Saturday in Junction City to advance to the OSAA 1A playoffs. Their first match will be against McKenzie at 11:00… A win will put them against Lowell at 3:30… a loss would put them against Eddyville, Crow or Triangle Lake at two.
Move Your Bones for the Boosters
The Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club is getting ready to help you “move your bones” with their annual fall fun run and fund raiser this Saturday. The 5-K race starts at 9:00 at Hans Peterson Field. Race Day registration opens at 7:30 that morning and is $15 for adults, $10 for runners and walkers under 17. In addition to the headliner, there will be free children’s races and an “all-comers” half mile. Costumes are encouraged… all proceeds support the athletic programs at Siuslaw High and Middle Schools.
