Siuslaw basketball standout Joe Dotson is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the Week. The Viking junior led the team in scoring with 23 points; 12 of those from outside the 3-point line; for the teams’ first win of the season, an exciting 38-35 victory over Newport at home.

Honorable mention is given to Markel Bliss. The Viking Grappler captured third place at 195 pounds during the Springfield Wrestling Invitational.
