Siuslaw basketball standout Seth Campbell is Coast Radio Sports Athlete of the Week. The Viking Junior scored 13 points; including the final two free throws of the game with a minute remaining; to help lift the Vikings to a 59-58 victory over Elmira.
Honorable mention is given to J.B. Dodson… one of four Vikings in double-digit scoring in that same game.
Beavers Beat George Mason
On the college court last night… Roberto Nelson scored eight of his 17 points in the final minute to help Oregon State beat George Mason 58-54 in the consolation round of the Diamond Head Classic. Devon (deh-VONN) Collier added 15 for the Beavers who wrap up play in the tournament tomorrow in Honolulu.
Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl
Oregon State will kick off against Boise State at five o’clock this afternoon in the Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl. The pregame on KCFM is set for four.
