Wildcats Hold off Beavers
Nick Johnson scored 25 points and number three Arizona beat Oregon State 74-69 last night in a back-and-forth game that wasn’t decided until the final minutes.
The Beavers made some crucial errors late in the game… ill-timed turnovers and missed free throws… and the Wildcats were able to hold off an enthusiastic Oregon State squad that seemed bent on upsetting the number three team in the nation.
Arizona will no doubt face a similar atmosphere at Matthew Knight Arena Saturday when they meet the Oregon Ducks… Oregon State will host Arizona State in the final day of regular season play in the Pac-12.
