Number eight ranked Oregon State took two of three games from the Arizona Wildcats on the baseball diamond over the weekend.
The Beavers won the opener Friday, 11-2, then the ‘Cats tied the series Saturday with the same score. Oregon State captured the rubber game of the series yesterday with an 11-run shutout. Oregon State will play the Pilots tomorrow afternoon in Portland in a non-league game.
Number 11 Oregon meanwhile, dropped two of three to Stanford over the weekend. The Cardinal won the first two games of the series Friday 6-3 and 2-1. The Ducks salvaged the weekend with a 9-2 win yesterday to avoid a Stanford sweep. Oregon will be at Gonzaga tomorrow.
