Vikings Hang a W on the Dogs
Connor Qualley threw a complete game, striking out six and allowing just three hits, helping the Siuslaw Vikings to a 4-1 Far West League Baseball win over the North Bend Bulldogs yesterday in Florence.
Siuslaw only managed two hits… one of them a Brad Snow double, but six walks and three Bulldog errors proved costly to North Bend which lost its first league game of the season.
The Vikings are in second place, a game-and-a-half behind the Dogs. Siuslaw is on the road this afternoon to Sutherlin for a 5:00 game…airtime on Coast Radio Sports is set for 4:45. Viking Softball is at home this afternoon against Sutherlin.
