Siuslaw Softball Downs the Dawgs
Ashlee Cole was two-for-three at the plate with a double and a home run; Andi Ruede was also two-for-three with two RBI singles. Ruede had two stolen bases, both at the plate and the Viking Softball Team demolished the Sutherlin Bulldogs 10-nothing in four-and-a-half innings. Heidi Jones faced 19 batters from the circle yesterday in Florence, giving up only two hits for the win.

Viking Baseball Keeps Pace With Road Win
On the baseball diamond… John Dodson struck out three and sprinkled five hits over five innings in Sutherlin and the Vikings dismantled Bulldogs 14-nothing. Sam Johnson was four-for-four at the plate with two doubles; Connor Qualley was three-for-three with a double and the Vikings put up 16 hits in all.
Viking baseball is back on the diamond this afternoon in Florence for a makeup double-header against South Umpqua beginning at three. Both games will air on Coast Radio Sports with the pregame show beginning at 2:45.
