It was the best of times; it was the worst of times…
First the best: John Dodson pitched a complete game giving up six hits; Tate Ross accounted for two of the Vikings’ four hits and they held off South Umpqua 3-1in the first half of a Far West League baseball double-header in Florence yesterday afternoon.
Then came the worst… Siuslaw committed six errors and ran out of pitching in their fourth game in three days and the Lancers put together three big innings to come out on top 17-8 in the nightcap.
The Vikings have today off. They’ll travel to Coos Bay tomorrow for two games against Marshfield.
