Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
Two volleyball matches on area courts last night: The Creswell Bulldogs were in Florence where they swept Siuslaw in three sets for a non-league victory. Hannah Bartlett had five perfect serve-receive passes and 15 assists; Halee Richards had five kills.
In Mapleton, Katie Dearman had seven aces; Maddie Frelich; six kills; and the Sailors downed Mohawk in four games for a Mountain West League victory.
Cross Country Rankings Show Viking Girls at the Top.
The Siuslaw Viking Girls are ranked atop the 4A Cross Country Polls, despite having fewer first place votes than last year’s defending state champion. The Lady Vikings had a total of 81 points in the voting with three first place. Molalla was at number three with 73 points and four first place nods. Phoenix was ranked number two with a pair of first place votes and a score of 77.
The Viking Boys are ranked number five behind number one Valley Catholic, Phoenix, Marshfield and Tillamook.
