Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports…
The Vikings ran into a solid wall of Pirates last night in their Far West League volleyball opener. Siuslaw fell to Marshfield 25-8; 25-13; and 25-22 in Coos Bay. Coach Angie Herring said Hannaleah Jakobsen played another great defensive game with six digs and four perfect serve-receive passes. Elyssa Rose had three stuff blocks. Siuslaw will host Douglas tomorrow night.
In Blue River, the McKenzie Eagles stopped the Mapleton Sailors in three games, winning 25-6; 25-16; and 25-18. Mapleton will be at Triangle Lake tomorrow.
