Viking volleyball wraps up regular schedule
The Siuslaw Vikings finished the Far West regular season with a convincing three-game win last night at home over the North Bend Bulldogs. It was senior night; four were introduced before the game… Courtney Taylor, Halee Richards, Bailey Wells and Trista Lane. Lane went on to score nine kills and three aces. Wells had four aces and two perfect serve-receive passes and Richards recorded three kills and three perfect serve receive passes. The Vikings will host an OSAA “Play-In” game sometime in the next ten days.

Viking Cross Country in top five headed into district meet
Valley Catholic leads the 4A boys cross country poll as the unanimous selection at number one this week. The Valiants are followed by Phoenix at number two, Marshfield is third and Siuslaw is ranked fourth. For the girls, Phoenix had eight of the nine first-place votes followed by Molalla in second. Siuslaw was ranked third with Philomath at fourth.
The Vikings are preparing for the Far West District Meet set for tomorrow afternoon at Brookings-Harbor High School.
