Beavers upset #7 ASU
Sean Mannion’s 66 yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter gave Oregon State the lead. Then Michael Doctor snagged an interception and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown with 1:38 remaining to seal the deal and the Beavers snapped a four game losing streak knocking off number 7 Arizona State 35-27 Saturday night in Corvallis.
Mannion threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns to break the Sun Devils five game winning streak; damaging ASU’s chances at a second straight Pac-12 championship game appearance.
Viking Harriers Compete in NW Regional
Siuslaw’s Celie Mans finished in 55th out of 152 with a time of 21:08.6 at Saturday’s Nike Northwest Regional Championships at Boise, Idaho. Seth Campbell was 107th out of 182 with a time of 18:12.6.
College Basketball
College basketball got underway over the weekend with Oregon State downing Rice 67-54 Friday night. Oregon thumped Coppin State 107-65. The Ducks open the Legends Classic tonight at eight against Detroit. That game will air on Coast Radio Sports beginning at 7:45. Oregon State will host Corban tomorrow night.
