Sun Devils used outside shots to beat the Beavers
Arizona made eight first-half three-pointers in a 73-55 Pac-12 win last night over Oregon State. Gary Payton II had 23 points to lead the five-and-three Beavers who had gone into the game with three straight wins… and was the conference’s top-ranked three-point defense. Oregon State will take on number 6 ranked Arizona tomorrow in Tucson.
Arizona buries Oregon in the Desert
The Wildcats, meanwhile, put on an offensive show last night to dismantle the Ducks 90-56. Elgin Cook had 16 points to lead Oregon which dropped to four-and-four in conference play. Oregon heads to Tempe tomorrow where they’ll face Arizona State.
Siuslaw Hall of Fame nominations sought
Nominations for the 2015 Siuslaw High School Hall of Fame are now being accepted. The induction ceremony for the fourth round of inductees will be Friday, July 31st at the Florence Events Center. Qualification info, along with the nomination forms, can be found at the Siuslaw High School website under the Hall of Fame tab. Nominations are due no later than April 15th.
