College Baseball: Beavers extend streak to 9; Ducks off to best start since ’09.
Oregon State baseball extended its win streak to nine with a four game sweep of Fresno State over the weekend in Corvallis. Things started with a 2-1 win Friday over the Bulldogs. Saturday the Beavers swept a double-header 5-2 and 12-2; then closed out the series with a 2-1 win yesterday.
Oregon swept all three from St. Johns over the weekend, going extra innings Friday for a 4-3 win. Saturday, the Ducks came out on top 7-2; then they closed out the series at PK park yesterday with an 8-6 win. Oregon, at 13-2 on the season is off to its best start since re-starting the program in 2009.
Oregon will host San Francisco for two games beginning tomorrow; Oregon State will host Portland for one game, also tomorrow.
