Athlete of the Week
Siuslaw track and field standout Abby Watkins is Coast Radio Sports Athlete of the week. The Viking sophomore won the long jump at last week’s Junction City Invitational with a personal best of 16-feet; four-inches. She also finished third in the 100-meters with a time of 13.92 seconds.
Honorable mention is given to Carissa Oliver. The tenth grader won the discus at the J-C Invite with a distance of 112-feet; ten inches. Eclipsing her former best throw by more than 13-feet.
Oregon Duck baseball is on the diamond in Portland where they’ll face the Pilots this afternoon.
