Athlete of the Week
Siuslaw Track and Field standout Seth Campbell is Coast Radio Sports’ Athlete of the week. The middle and distance runner had a standout week, placing second in the 400 and 800 at last week’s Far West League meet in Coos Bay. He set a personal best in the 400 with a time of 53.56-seconds. Then, at the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field Saturday he finished eighth in the 800; and set a personal record in the 3-thousand with a time of 8:58.26.
Honorable mention: Siuslaw’s Josh Payne who claimed second in the wheelchair 100-meter and third in the 200 meter at the Oregon Relays, setting personal records in both events.
On the diamond today:
Siuslaw Viking softball will make the trip to Brookings-Harbor High School where they’ll take on the Bruins at five. Viking baseball is at home against the Bruins, also at five… that game will air on Coast Radio Sports beginning at 4:45.
