Beavers win non-league Civil War
Oregon State scored five runs in the third inning on the way to a 10-2 non-conference baseball victory over the Oregon Ducks last night in Corvallis. KJ Harrison and Billy King each drove in three runs for number 22 ranked Beavers.
Oregon’s Josh Graham was tagged for the loss. He allowed ten hits and seven runs in 3-2/3 innings of work. Sam Tweedt improved to 7-and-1 on the season, scattering three hits and two runs over 5-2/3 innings.
Oregon will travel to Pullman Friday where the Ducks will start a three game series against Washington State. Oregon State will host Utah for three beginning that same day.

Siuslaw baseball dropped to 3-and-7 in Far West League play with an 11-1 loss at home to Marshfield.
Siuslaw softball fell to the Pirates in Coos Bay by the same score.
Prep Track and Field
Teams from five schools converged on the track at Mapleton High School yesterday for the “Mega Meet”. Crow won the girls competition followed by Alsea, Eddyville, Mapleton then Mohawk. Crow also won the boys meet, but the Mapleton Sailors were second, followed by Alsea, Eddyville and Mohawk.
Hunter Simington won the 200-meters and the pole vault where he cleared a personal best 10′ 9″. Simington also finished second the 100-meters. Tyler Packebush was first in the 110 meter hurdles and was second in the pole vault. Chris Free won the long and triple-jumps.
