Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports:
Oregon State right-hander Andrew Moore was selected by the Seattle Mariners yesterday in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft. He was taken 72nd overall.
Moore’s selection keeps a streak alive that extends back to 1993. Every year since then at least one Beaver baseballer has been selected in the draft.
Moore pitched three seasons for Oregon State. He had a record of 27 wins and 9 losses over 51 games. 48 of those were starts. Moore carried a 2.10 earned run average and struck out 251 batters to just 75 walks during his collegiate career.
