Taking a look at Coast Radio Sports:
The Mid Valley Rockets held off the Three Rivers Sand Blasters in both halves of a double header last night in Albany.
The Rockets claimed game one 15-11. Jonathan Bennison was two-for-five at the plate with a single and a two-RBI home run. Bennison continued hitting well in the nightcap where he was two-for-two with a double. But the ‘Blasters fell 14-10.
The Samdblasters will be in the Seattle area beginning tomorrow for the Mickey Merriam Tournament through Sunday. They’ll return to league action Tuesday in Monmouth against the DeMarini Dirtbags.
Emeralds cap five game series with fourth win
Donnie Dewees hit three doubles and had four RBI as the Eugene Emeralds capped a five game series against the Tri-City Dust Devils with a 9-4 win.
The Ems took the lead for good in the fourth inning on Dewees’ second double of the night. He drove in two of the three runs scored in the frame.
The Emeralds head to Hillsboro this evening where they’ll begin a three game series against the Hops.
