Dirtbags take opening game of 3-game series
Three errors on the part of the Sandblasters helped the DeMarini Dirtbags to a 7-4 win yesterday afternoon over Three Rivers in Monmouth. Ricky Jones was two-for-two at the plate with one walk and a sacrifice. He also scored twice.
The two teams meet again this afternoon in Florence for a double-header. Game one is at one… with the pregame show on KCST at 12:45.

Emeralds string three wins together
The Eugene Emeralds took an early 4-2 lead and used ten hits to cruise to a 6-4 Northwest League win over the Vancouver Canadians last night at PK Park. The two teams wrap up their five games series this evening in Eugene. The Emeralds head for the Tri-Cities tomorrow where they’ll open a five game stretch against the Dust Devils.
